“Hi Lynda, I wanted to drop you an email to let you know how the teaching practice in Hong Kong has gone. Unfortunately, I only have one lesson left, which is a real shame as I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! It’s been a fun and rewarding experience during which I have learnt an incredible amount in a relatively short time. In fact, it’s gone so well for me that I’ve already received two offers of employment out here in Hong Kong, which I fully attribute to the confidence that I’ve gained over the course of the last couple of weeks. Furthermore, the organisation has been good and the students have been just brilliant.

I honestly feel that my development has come on in leaps and bounds as a result of this experience. Of course, none of this would have been possible if it hadn’t been for Lisa. From before I arrived when we were liaising via email through to when I got here and throughout every lesson and feedback session, she has been exemplary in every respect. The energy and enthusiasm that she brings to teaching is definitely something that has rubbed off on me and will shape me as a teacher for years to come. She’s been extremely helpful when it has come to lesson planning and very knowledgeable around classroom management and effective teaching methodologies. More than anything though, she’s been an invaluable guide to me and the other teachers and an inspiration to me personally.
